muffking Posted June 19, 2006 Report Posted June 19, 2006 Hi guys. The remote central locking on my drivers door has just decided that it only wants to work when it feels like it, but when I turn the key in the lock I can no longer use it to open or close all of the electric windows. Normally I would suspect a dodgy locking motor, but the open/close windows feature not working has made me think twice. Is there a switch independant to the central locking motor that operates the windows or is it run directly off the motor? Any ideas greatly apreaciated (does anyone have a spare?) It's a '52 2.3 Ghia BTW Quote
NikpV Posted June 19, 2006 Report Posted June 19, 2006 Umm perhaps wires in the door loom (rubber boot) - Ive got a rear door window which goes up and down on the switch and down on global opening (with key) but will not go up on global closing - need to finish sorting out the loom (half done) Quote
muffking Posted June 19, 2006 Author Report Posted June 19, 2006 I'm gonna take the door card off tommorrow and check the motor. I could do with the wiring diagram though as I intend to stick a multimeter on the connections to see if the supplies are ok. Quote
